All children are gifted in one way or the other and all children are different. That's what makes them unique and special. I have watched as my son's beautiful, loving energetic spirit was crushed by the school system in our country. Society places expectations of what children are supposed to be and how they should act. Many children do not conform to those expectations, not because they don't want to but simply because they can't. It just isn't who they are. It is time for a change and we, as parents need to be the driving force behind it. We need to give our children a voice but more importantly we need to listen and to accept that even though we are adults, we aren't always right and there are things out there beyond our control and possibly our comprehension. Most importantly we need to cherish each and every moment we have with them. They are God's greatest gift to us. Open your hearts, your minds and your souls to discover the beauty and magic in your child!
